Students will learn about the Symbol Wireless Switch Architecture, and how to configure, manage, and integrate the Symbol WS5100 Wireless Switch into an enterprise network. This course covers Command Line Interface Configuration, Web Configuration, Bandwidth Allocation, Policy Architecture (including Security, Network, Switch, Ethernet, Input, and Output Policies), WLAN to VLAN mapping, and Classification of data traffic using layer 2/3 filters, IP redirection and QoS.
Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Describe the features of a Wireless Switch 5100
Navigate the Command Line, and web interfaces
Explain the Policy Tree Architecture
Configure a Wireless Switch and access ports
Configure Network Polices and Wireless VLANs

Wired networks
VLANs
Quality of Service
Switch or router configuration experience is also helpful
